Madagascar October 30 - November 22, 2017 (1 Viewer)

Mildly Obsessed
We would welcome a fourth birder to join us on a comprehensive tour of Madagascar, this October 30 to November 22 from Antananarivo. The trip has been set up with the Madagascar Tour Guide company, which was chosen based on recommendations elsewhere on this forum and from other birders. We hope to see almost all the endemics, with the exception of a few especially difficult species, which are targeted in a trip extension described in a previous post in this forum (click here).

The planned itinerary will include all major bioregions of the country, including:
  • southwest spiny forests (Mangily and Andatabo, Tsimanampetsotsa NP, etc. and Nosy Ve island)
  • south (Zombitse forest and Isalo national park)
  • eastern rainforest (Andasibe-Mantadia and Ranomafana NPs, Analamazaotra reserve, and Iharoka forest, etc.)
  • northwest (Ankarafantsika NP)
The cost will be very low compared to other Madagascar trips. Please send a private message if you would like more information.
Hello tapaculo - can you send me some more information on this trip, specifically an itinerary if you've got one, planned overnight locations and cost?
