Magpies building a nest in a tree in my garden. (1 Viewer)

There are two magpies building a nest high in a tree in my garden. I see from your posts, that this is quite normal during mid winter. I have never seen it before.
 
Hi Bluesking and welcome to BirdForum from all the staff and moderators. Someone I follow on Twitter mentioned Magpies nest building this week. I saw a Buzzard behind the house with nesting material a couple of weeks ago.

Perhaps it is more of a roosting place for them for the winter which will turn into their nesting place come the warmer weather.
