hi there, I wondered if anybody had any tips on watching and feeding Magpies? I have always liked the crow family in particular Magpies but seem to be constantlu outwitted by the superior intelligence. I live in Puglia in southern Italy in the countryside, so the birds are very shy, due mainly, probably, that the only time people watch birds here is to shoot them. I first started to feed the Magpies from a distance then gradually moved the feeding sites nearer and all was going well. Around 11 or 13 used to arrive every morning and feed reasonably comfortably. But then it was a though they knew I was watching and now seem very nervous and no matter how much I hide they seem to know I am there and watching. I have put up one way mirror film, but still they seem to know. Any tips or hints or information about these beautiful birds would be appreciated. On another note a pair of Ravens pass regularly over, such beautiful birds too. Many thanks
