Stopping off in Majorca[ capital city] on a cruise in August.
Any handy places on bus routes to go for a walk for birdwatching or scenic areas.
Is the bird reserve near Pollensa on a bus route?
Thanks

I was there last month and buses definitely run past Albufera reserve but I'm not sure where they run to and from. The map of bus routes at https://www.tib.org/en/web/ctm/mapa-simbolic should tell you & the same site should have timetables.

From Palma bus station you need to take the bus to Alcudia a journey of around about 2 hours which MAY go past Albufera. If not you need to alight the bus at Port Alcudia then take another bus to either Albufera or in the other direction to the Boquer Valley taking around about 30 mins to either Albufera or Boquer Valley. Also note you will need 30 odd mins to walk from the main rd at Albufera into the reserve.
If you are not so fit it will be a huff and a puff up the Boquer Valley.

I agree. A day trip by public transport with limited time could be very difficult.
Another thought for you. Maybe there is a tourist bus leaveing Palma heading to the Formentor penisula on a day trip. Eleonoras Falcons, Blue Rock Thrush, Baleric Warbler can/could be seen from Formentor.

Thanks- I'll look into it.
