Some great images there Steve.
Looks like you had another cracker!
I never have any luck with sardinians, black vulture still on our wish list.
No harriers in the Algarve this year either.
Lots of bonelli's eagles and Portugal first recorded, North African Long Legged Buzzard (Buteo rufinus cirtensis).
Well done with the pics.
Mick

Just back from the UK having missed our flight due to the M25 being shut. 36 hours at an airport no fun. Missed some great birds here, Common rosefinch, Little bunting, 7 Yellow-browed warblers, a Common gull and a Lesser whitethroat. Thanks for all the great photos guys. Still not got any more copies of the Annual Report but I will keep trying. Sorry! Mike

Hi Mike

Sorry about the M25 (one reason I always use City airport) but at least you will miss the storm that's forecast here.

While you were in the UK there was a reliable sighting of a Camberwell Beauty on the island (on the 22nd). A very rare sighting of a probable vagrant.

Best wishes

Martin

Some late news, 6 Mediterranean gulls seen at Albufereta on the 14th and two more Yellow-browed warblers, one at Postage Stamp Wood and the other in Calvia at El Torro.
Would love to have seen Camberwell Beauty Martin, what a great find. Mike

Hi,
Are there any reliable sites in Mallorca for Moltoni's Warbler outside breeding season, e.g. this time of the year? Is the best bet the same sites as during breeding (Cuber etc.) or do they disperse to lower altitudes?
/Gabriel

Moltoni's warblers are passage migrants and there are small numbers of breeders too at the known sites, eg Cuber but there are none seen now, they move through Cabrera in April/May and are mostly gone thereafter. One of the contributers to this thread is a top man on Moltoni's and Sub-alpine so perhaps he will comment on their distribution and migration patterns. Mike
