Popped in this afternoon to see how much progress had been made with refilling the pool after the sluice work. This has been ongoing since March (I believe it may have started just before Lockdown 1 kicked in) but little sign that it's heading for completion. The sledging hill behind the pool has a large earth bank across it, fencing and diggers still around etc. Water level still very low, mostly exposed mud.
A few Canada Geese, Mallard, Moorhen, Coot, BHG and a single Grey Heron, but the chances of Goosander or Shoveler this winter would appear to be minimal.
