Hello Brent, Devon is pretty big as UK counties go - 6700 Square Km - and encompasses an excellent variety of habitats. Its way to big for what I'm doing, especially at my level of (in)expertise, but it does mean I can cherry pick targets. I should really call it 'a little bit of everything list' rather than a 'holistic' list :) I think with a list like this its more impressive when someone concentrates on a smaller area, but for me using the whole of the county suits my short attention span ;) However some of my finds have come from my doorstep - latest additions include segestria florentina, a spider with green chelicerae living in my front door frame, and the dimunitive recumbent pearlwort, all over the front patio ! Looks like its only the flora and the marine stuff which is keeping me ahead - so far - you're thrashing me on most other groupings. I'd love to get some more tiger beetles but there are only 5 species in the whole of the UK! As for the dragonflies, very envious, I've visited Parc de Gatineu briefly and was stunned by some of the dimunitive darters and flashy saddlebags. Very nice.
