Yes, there is a subtle beauty that's very evident in this one, almost like you saw the beauty and decided that you needed to paint it.

Thanks for the comments on the Timber rattler. That was a beautiful snake. There was another smaller one only about a foot away.. At some point I'll try to paint that rattler a well.

I thought I'd try another quick watercolor/ink, this time of an American goldfinch. Parts of this I like and others I'm not so crazy about.

Well I'm not sure I've ever finished a painting that I didn't find a few of things that I'd change. Trying something new means you are likely to find more things that didn't quite go your way. Thanks for the nice comments!
