I tried to make it fair as I could and did have the advantage of having a Swarovski 8x30 CL in hand to do constant back to back comparisons under different lighting conditions and I think that is the only fair way to test and compare binoculars. If say Frank doesn't have a Swarovski to compare the Maven B.3 with I think it would be hard to realize there is a difference and let me assure you there is. Also, I don't think the Maven's would or should sell at the same costs as the Swaorvski's even if they had the same overhead costs. The quality is not there compared to the Swarovski's. The Swarovski's are worth the extra $400 in my opinion plus as you have said you know Swarovski will be around 5 years from now if your binoculars break. The Swaro is a more together unit and definitely better designed than the Maven.</p></blockquote><p></p>
