Message: <blockquote data-quote="Steve C" data-source="post: 3274788" data-attributes="member: 56622">OK we can throw those into the mix. <img src="data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7" class="smilie smilie--sprite smilie--sprite2" alt=";)" title="Wink    ;)" loading="lazy" data-shortname=";)" /> It took about two minutes after looking through the Maven B2 to conclude my ZEN Prime HD, Leupold Gold Ring HD and McKinley HD were just reduced to excess binoculars.I have come to the conclusion there is a lot LESS difference between price points than people would like to think exists.  So it depends on your personal perspectives and the situation you are in when considering the upper end mid price glass.  If you are upgrading from an older glass and if the question "is which is better a Prime, a Conquest or the Maven?", the answer is pretty clearly the Maven B2 is better.  Maven's B1 competes there.  The B2 is a different animal.  If the question asked is "I have a Conquest or a Prime, is it worth the upgrade to a B2?"  The answer is perspective dependent.  If you need a lot of specs under the hood then the Maven B2 has better resolution and more light transmission, so the answer is maybe it is.  If you are happy with the Conquest or the Prime you have then the answer is "maybe it isn't".  If the question comes down to "I have the B2, is it worth the upgrade?", then the answer may well be maybe not.  Again it is a matter of perspective.  If you can't see what you need with the Prime or Conquest, your issue is elsewhere than in your binocular.The point here is the B2 is not a typical $1k class glass.  It quite easily competes much higher up the scale.  Is it the equal or better than the alpha class, well, I'm not going there <img src="data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7" class="smilie smilie--sprite smilie--sprite2" alt=";)" title="Wink    ;)" loading="lazy" data-shortname=";)" />.  It will compete very well, certainly their equal in certain respects.</blockquote>
