Its grey here this morning (again - so much for the forecast wall-to-wall sunshine) and numbers up in the trap plus some new species for the year.

Garden Carpet
Shuttle-shaped Dart 10
Heart and Dart 2 NFY
Willow Beauty NFY
Peppered Moth (pale individual, I do get dark ones too) NFY
Light Brocade NFY

No complaints about that little bunch! Year list now at the dizzy heights of 29.

30/05. 20 moths of 14 species. Mostly repeats of previous nights , but new were Heart + Dart, Large Nutmeg and Common Marbled Carpet.
Never having had Seraphim before I've now caught it on four nights (bit like buses).
Had a Pyrausta aurata on my patch today as well, nfy.
Not a moth but saw 4 Ant Beetles there too, one I have wanted to see for years, beats the little black jobs as it is rather spectacular.
