Might this be a hobby? (1 Viewer)

Hi there,

I spotted this bird yesterday over a lake near Peterborough.
At first glance I thought it was a kestrel, but straight away I noticed that it's behaviour wasn't what I would expect from a kestrel. At one point it swooped down over the water after which I took this photo. It looks to me like it's swiped a dragonfly and ate it in flight?

Another photo I took shows the bird looking like a large swallow, sort of anchor shaped.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts. hobby.jpg

Woohoo! Thank you! It's the first hobby I've ever seen( or knowingly seen!). So adding that to seeing a turtle dove pair, I had a pretty good evening!
:D
