MM4 60 lens hood / thread diameter (1 Viewer)

Does anyone know of a lens hood that will fit the MM4 60mm scope? Alternatively, can anyone tell me exactly what the filter thread diameter is? I don't have any calipers, so I can only guess. I'll email Opticron anyway - and if I find out that way I'll post the information here.

I'm asking because in strong sunlight, when pointing in the direction of the sun, I get reflections in the lower field of view that disappear when I shade the front of the scope with my hand.

Thanks.

I got a somewhat disappointing answer from Opticron. The thread is made of concentric circles (as I suspected), and is not actually a thread at all.

I offered my opinion that this was a design fault and that surely they could have made a thread and perhaps provide a hood as an accessory.
