Monsieur Beauperthuy(s) [?], and "his" two Birds ... (1 Viewer)

(former alias "Calalp")

As there seems to be some doubts (on the internet at large, that is) regarding the Birth of the following guy, commemorated in ...

beauperthuysii as in:
• the Ocellated Woodcreeper subspecies Xiphorhynchus ocellatus beauperthuysii PUCHERAN & LAFRESNAY 1850 (here), as "N. [Nasica] Beauperthuysii":
Il a été rapporté du Pérou par le voyageur Beauperthuys, ...
... a k a "P. [Premnocopus] Beauperthuysii" (in/by Reichenbach, 1853, here).

beauperthuyi (without s), as in:
• the invalid "T. [Tanagra/Tachyphonus] beauperthuyi" BONAPARTE 1851 (here, in text):
Plusieurs races sont encore confondues sous ce nom. Je propose le nom de T. BEAUPERTHUYI pour celle rapportée au Muséum par ce voyageur, et que se distingue de la commune dont elle a la taille, par le ...

Well, ... thus, another question might be: Was his surname Beauperthuys, or Beauperthuy ... ?!?

In today's Key explained as:
beauperthuyi / beauperthuysii
Dr Louis Daniel Beauperthuy Desbonnes (1807-1871) French microbiologist, pioneer in tropical medicine, resident in Venezuela 1840-1871 (syn. Tachyphonus rufus, subsp. Xiphorhynchus ocellatus).

English Wiki (here):
Louis-Daniel Beauperthuy "25 August 1808 – 3 September 1871"
French ditto (here):
Louis Daniel Beauperthuy Desbonnes "26 août 1807 – 3 septembre 1871"
Spanish ditto (here):
Luis (Louis) Daniel Beauperthuy Desbonnes "26 de agosto de 1807 – 3 de septiembre de 1871"
... all with the same Portrait.

Also note that Phelps 1945* had him as (nothing but): "Luis D. Beauperthuy (1808-1871)":
Médico francés radicado en Cumaná. Nació en la isla de Guadalupe, obtuvo el doctorade en París, revalidó su título en la Universidad de Caracas, y murió en la Guayana Inglese. Su colección está en le Museode París. 144 ejemplares.
Google translate:
French doctor based in Cumaná. He was born on the island of Guadeloupe, obtained his doctorate in Paris, revalidated his degree at the University of Caracas, and died in English Guiana. His collection is in the Paris Museum. 144 copies.

Thereby; was he born in 1807, or in 1808?

Only one Birth year can be correct.

And on what day exactly?

Anyone who knows (for sure) ... ?

Björn

Thanks guys! Quick as always ... (y)

Thereby I'll keep him (in my notes) as:
Dr Louis Daniel Beauperthuy (either with, or without, the Desbonne/s part), born in 1807, ... and onwards (as shown above).

Cheers
