We had a great day exploring the reserve. No luck with the speciality, LSW but plenty of other birds. For us the visit gave us our first for the year of Chiffchaff, Willow W, Blackcap and Swallow. I am not going to list all the birds seen as they would be the usual ones expected to be seen.But a bonus was a Wood Sandpiper on Birchwood Pool right in front of the hide.We will certainly be paying return visits and congratulations to the team responsible for the reserve, brilliantly laid out and set up.Robert Jarvis</blockquote>
