Nice morning at RSPB Medmerry in search of the White-rumped Sandpiper that has been reported the last few days. Arrived early to avoid the heat and traffic, took the long walk to the Stilt Pool, Linnets and Yellowhammers in the gorse and bushes, the pools held a variety of waders, including several Sandpiper species but no sign of the White-rumped whilst I was there, with the heat building I scurried off back to the car, a group of Dartford Warblers the highlight of the return journey, a very enjoyable 5 hours shame about the sandpiper!! Lots of pics and a fuller report on the Blog at the link
