Morning chorus (1 Viewer)

I went to siblyback lake today at 4am to try to spot some night birds and catch the morning chorus. Must have been too late for night birds but the morning chorus was spectacular. I really enjoyed listening to so many sounds. The song thrush and the wren were dominating with their beautiful songs but I also managed to add a willow warbler, a coot, a blackcap and a green sandpiper to my life list. I've only been birding for 3 weeks and I'm already up to 59 birds. I didn't know I was surrounded by such an abundance of different species :)

Sounds great! I love that time of day, it's very special - tho I rarely encounter it! Tho I was, a couple of weeks ago, just getting to sleep at 4 a.m. as the sky was just starting to lighten in the NE horizon.. 🤔🤷
Not been to Siblyback for yonks, I do love Cornwall. Unfortunately so does everyone else in the UK! 🤦‍♂️🤷

Near me, in N Wales & Cheshire, it seemed to me that the songbirds continued singing further into the summer than usual, perhaps due to the prolonged cold, wet weather.. 🤔🤷
