Moth ID? (Muir of Dinnet, Cairngorms, Scotland). (1 Viewer)

Hi All

I came across this moth in a birch wood, in the Muir of Dinnet NR.
It landed on some heather and rested. Unfortunately, it was pretty dark and so the picture is a bit soft and noisy.

I thought with the wings held vertically and a clear sight of the pattern on the wings, I would be able to find it.......
Well great in theory. The closest I got was Bupalus pinaria but it's not quite there, I think.

I wonder if someone could take a look and put me out of my misery?

Yours, Gareth
