I think I know what this one is but I would like confirmation. The photograph is probably a bit light on the front of the moth. Thank you.

Not for me. The outer third of the wing is too heavily marked and there isn't a broad enough white band on the leading edge of the cross-band. I considered it as my first option but on balance, I considered the pale moth was overexposed against a darker background.

Was it coastal?

Agree it is over exposed. Am happy with the id of Common. Moth was in the Severn Valley. Thanks Paul.
