Moths of March 2012 (1 Viewer)

I don't think Square-spot Rustic ever flies in spring (I might be wrong).

Not sure what it could be, perhaps a slightly odd Common Quaker? Did you get a photo?

No, no photo, but looking again I reckon it was probably a White-marked. I caught several of them this time last year.

Got a bit rusty with my ID skills over the winter. :smoke:

So started trapping in March for the first time

4 or 5 blanks to sart

2 separate trap sessions gave up a different single month each night

Satellite
Hebrew Character

Then a double

Early Grey
Clouded Drab

a few blanks then final trap of the month yielded 4 moths, one Hebrew Character, and 3 further new captures

Chestnut
Comon Quaker
Twin Spotted Quaker

total species for March 7

look forward to what April can bring me
