Mourning Dove egg fell out of nest but is not broken. What should I do? (1 Viewer)

Welcome to BirdForum Mourning Dove! I'm thinking if the parents aren't around I would quickly pick up the egg with a paper towel and put it back in the nest if that is possible for you. Let's see what others have to say.
It’s a fallacy about birds being able to smell or sense human touch. πŸ™‚
Put it back in the nest as quickly as possible so that it doesn't get cold - even if you have to (gently) disturb the adult to do so.
