Multi device add on needed for Velbon Delta (1 Viewer)

Hi guys,

Can anyone recommend an add on that would allow me to use two or more devices with my Velbon Delta tripod? I'd like to use an extra IR illuminator with my Bushnell Equinox Z2 night vision monocular.

I've attached an image of the Velbon Super Mag plate, but I'd rather not have to pay almost £100,a cheaper alternative would be great.

Thanks in advance,

D

If you have access to a 3D printer, maybe 3D printing would be an option?

I've printed some extra (modified) Velbon quick release plates for myself, like this one:

Should be a minor modification to provide the part with a bridge capable of accepting two tripod screws.

Moin!

Ah, thanks for the links ... it never occurred me that's the same kind of plate you can also use for stereo photography :)

I toyed around with that a bit, back in the age of chemical film, and made my own plate from an aluminium bar. Worked fine, but the SLR body size was so large that I couldn't place the lenses close enough together to get a properly-scaled stereo image. Everything looked like it was about half its actual size!

Regards,

Henning
