My Last Pair of Binoculars (1 Viewer)

I've been following this thread from the sidelines. Congrats and enjoy NY Birder!

Thanks. Received them today. After birding with them for 2 hours, and into dusk, I am confident I made the right choice.

Will do a review after spending a bit more time with them.

Cost is a factor, but my primary concern is quality and durability. The current contenders are the Zeiss Victory SF 8x42 or 10x42 or possible the Swarovski EL 8.5 x 42..

Not quite grasping this.... If cost is a factor, why are you choosing the most expensive bins? if Cost is not a factor I can see those selections. But hard to have it both ways.

Famous last words!

I was factoring in cost, but I was weighing other factors more: durability, design, optics, etc. Additionally, I found a very good deal that caused me to pull the trigger.

Hopefully, this clears things up.
