Hello:

attached are two photos for mystery birds that I have seen in the last couple of months. The first is I think a wren taken at Horton Springs in May (upstate) the second is a bird I saw this summer hiking in Mt. Lemmon (se arizona sky island)

I agree with House Wren and Yellow-eyed Junco

i agree with andrew but while searching for yellow-eyed junco i found this bird labelled yellow-eyed dark eyed junco from the same location. quite confusing, is it a hybrid or just wrong labelled? (pics 3-5)

Incorrectly labeled. The rufous in the wings separates Yellow-eyed Junco from the most similarly plumaged Dark-eyed subspecies (Red-backed). I'm not sure a hybrid between Red-backed and Yellow-eyed would be field-identifiable, but this looks fine for pure Yellow-eyed. Reading the post, I think the author mistakenly believes Yellow-eyed is just another subspecies of Dark-eyed.
