Name a Bird You've Photographed (7 Viewers)

I have not photographed Caspian Plover despite one on Shetland, one in Israel & a few in Uganda. Another thing for the To Do list. I suspect the next British one will be popular.

Another wader....

3860. Great Knot Calidris tenuirostris Thailand

All the best

I guess we can go back and forth between families in Charadriiformes:
3864. Temmink's Courser, Cursorius temminckii, in Nxai Panns, Botswana in November 2008
A record shot that's a little soft, but there it is.

I am pretty much as relaxed as a wader is linked to a wader.... :) I only have eleven unplayed waders left of which five or six are unphotographed. One photographed remaining wader is:-

3865. Sharp-tailed Sandpiper Calidris acuminata Australia

All the best

Relaxed is best. Here's a relaxed wader:

Another wader with history for me is Long-toed Stint. I ticked it at Ballycotton & have seen several in Thailand. I saw my second in the Western Palearctic in Kuwait - but that was rejected - although it was one... :) My British tick was in Yorkshire....

3866. Long-toed Stint Calidris subminuta Thailand, Kuwait & Yorkshire, England

I think that quite a good friend was part of the group that persuaded the Kuwaiti Rarities Committee that it wasn't one. I told him again recently that he was wrong! :)

All the best

I was just about to play Hudsonian Whimbrel as a vagrant from Cape Verde this year. I have two terrible wader photos left so I will leave those for now!

Counted I think as a wader these days...

3871. Little Buttonquail Turnix velox Australia
