Name a Bird You've Seen 2 (2 Viewers)

Jacana

How does this sound?

As the thread is now so far advanced the rules have been slightly amended:

1. You have to have seen the bird
2. You mustn't repeat a bird that someone else has already named
4. You are allowed to make 3 wrong entries, after the 3rd wrong entry then you must sit it out for the next 10 birds.
5. You can't post straight after yourself
6. Where possible, try to link the bird name you propose with the previous species on the thread.

If you approve it, I'll edit the opening post.

Sorry,

Been away for a while. Looks good to me!

Western Sandpiper

Already played, I'm afraid

There was another duplicate a while ago. Eastern and Western Piping Hornbills were both played, but Piping Hornbill was played a long time before them.

Not sure what to do about that, let's call an amnesty on it. I'll also call an amnesty on the Fork-tailed Swift that was played a long time ago by a player who has now dropped out. As there is no such thing as a Fork-tailed Swift since it got split into 3 or so species, I'll call an amnesty on that one too. At least one of the splits has since been played if my memory serves me correctly.

So, I think the new number should therefore be:

1977. Western Bonelli's Warbler
