I'd probably have more to list if I hadn't given my Indonesian field guide to a young guide who was on our tour to see the Orangutans in Borneo. I listed the birds I saw in the book itself by marking the date and place. He wasn't a bird guide, but he was a student (possibly biology?). I saw what I thought might be an Asian Paradise Flycatcher and was looking it up in the book when he asked if he could look through it. He held it with such reverence as he turned the pages that I decided at the end of the trip, I should give it to him as a 'tip'. I thought he might not get a chance to get one himself, and I could--not! I did try to write a quick list of the birds seen, but I don't know where it is! So, except for a few that got written on a reserve pamphlet, I lost my Indonesian list.Okay, thanks Sue!

He probably still has, and uses, the book and I don't even remember some of the birds I do have listed--it's where it should be.![]()
