Hello,

This bird has been seen in Caprivi strip, Mahango reserve, march 1.
I'm thinking of a juvenile Ruff.
Is that correct ?
Thank you for your help.

It's a wood sandpiper. Note more normal proportions compared to ruff (ie not small-headed) and dark white-speckled upperparts. (No northern waders would be juvenile in March; juvenile plumage is lost in the previous autumn moult.)
