Can someone please identify this bird? Taken near Huatulco National Park Mexico in Jan. Looks like a female tanager, maybe?
Thanks
Chris

Female Painted Bunting.

Edit: Or possibly a female Orange-breasted Bunting. It looks blue on the shoulder and tail, which might favour that species. Colours are a bit hard to judge though.

Thanks Andrew and Butty. Both Orange-breasted and Painted Bunting could fit. Looking through pics on Google, I'm leaning toward female Painted Bunting. But its a toss up really. Thanks.

If you have any other pictures, they might be helpful particularly for assessing the colours accurately. It appears (to me at least) quite distinctly blue on the shoulder and the tail. That would favour Orange-breasted.
