i saw this wild bird today and idk what species it is or what it might've been. never seen anything like it before. anyone have an idea????

I've no experience of the birds in Indonesia, but it looks a bit like a waterhen, maybe White-breasted Waterhen? Hopefully someone will be along soon to help you out.
