Earlier this year (Jan. 2024), I did some birding in a rural area around Bengaluru.
Most of the pipits I was able to Identify at the site were Paddyfield Pipits, but there were some peculiar-looking ones that caught my attention. At the time that I visited, there were reports of Blyth's, Richard's, and Tawny Pipits though these were reported very infrequently.
Almost a year later, I'm looking through the photos and am still puzzled by the species of pipit in the frame. I'd love some help from the birding community on helping me ID this pipit!
All photos are of the same individual.
