Need Help Identifying bird by Call (1 Viewer)

Hello All, I hope you can help me. Attached are two cellular phone recordings of a bird I heard while birding a wetland in Barbados. It appeared to be coming from a snipe. Our common snipe is the Wilson's Snipe but I've never heard one making such a call. Both Jack and Common can be vagrant species on the island. Please tell me what you think. Note: The bird calling is in the background and not as loud as the calls from the yellowlegs and other shorebirds. thanks in advance

Doesn't sound like a Common or Jack Snipe to me. Their raspy calls are only uttered in flight e.g. when flushed. The OP recordings are of a sedentary bird - no change in volume etc... No idea what else it might be though.
