Snapped this swallow /martin today. Need to confirm its Id. It's probably the Barn Swallow as they do visit this area in winter. Looks like the Common House Martin, but then it would be a way out of its area.

Certainly not a Barn Swallow. It does look like a House Martin, but I can't see the white rump on these photos for sure.

I can: house martin
Based on BirdLife Datazone distribution maps and likely migration routes, it's either Northern House Martin Delichon urbicum or Asian House Martin D. dasypus, lingering on passage (if Mount Abu Raj is the Rajasthan Mount Abu). Nepal House Martin D. nipalense (resident) and Eastern House Martin D. lagopodum are further east in their breeding areas and the latter winters much further east.

It's a Northern House Martin. The photos are good enough to not see the dark underwing coverts of Asian House. Eastern House (would show white uppertail coverts and dusky flanks) and Nepal House (would show e.g. a black vent) can also be excluded.
