I don't think I'll ever buy one of the lovely orange Swarovski (NL, Curio), but I really like them, I think their orange looks just gorgeous, and I've loved some colorful Leicas in the past, especially the red and blue versions of the BN, and also de green Ultravid BR, but I personally find the Retrovid (which design and performance I like very much) ludicrous. Maybe it's just that the picture doesn't do it justice, but when I first saw the image I thought it was a joke, that someone had been playing with Photoshop (poorly). Won't lose sleep over these

I considered the 7x35 for a while but the 8x40 have a strong competitor: the Zeiss 8x40 SFL. Same weight, same size, modern focuser, etc.
They do not exist in a fancy color though.

It would have looked so much better if done in Olive green. That color looks so unnatural (at least to me in the photo). It is a pass.

For those wishing to suitably complement their 8x40 LIFE:

Back in 2020, there was an equally eye watering version of the 8x20 Ultravid!
And as some may infer it’s the Supreme version.
It comprised 182 units, and was for sale by the eponymous US brand ( . . . how could I resist using the e-word 🤷‍♂️)

Yes, I seriously thought about acquiring this model during the supremacy days of the Trinovid 8x32 BN model.* I also understand that there was a blue model for marine use but maybe I am mixing it with the 7x42 BN model.

Thanks for the interesting pic. A friend of mine has the blue version and IIRC his is a 7x42. It would seem to be a good roof for marine use given the 7x42 format, fortress like construction, thick rubber armor and blue color which IMO is attractive. Beautiful view as well of course.
