Hello everyone.

I am retired and an amateur photographer (Canon 5D MKIII & 7D MKII with various 'L' lenses up to 300mm) with an interest in garden birds.

I live in a semi-rural location, not far from Winchester, UK, where there is great diversity among the local avian population.

My garden backs onto open fields and the River Arle, a beautiful chalk stream tributary of the River Itchen and I regularly observe various owls and Red Kites hunting.

In addition to my DSLR's, I also own a pair of Swarovski EL 8.5 X 42 binoculars and a Swarovski ATX 85 spotting scope for observing wildlife.

I would like to try digiscoping and hope to gain some tips and knowledge from this forum, in pairing my ATX 85 with my new smartphone, an Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max.

HI Max and a warm welcome to you from all the Staff and Moderators. If you haven't already found it the Digiscoping forum is here: The Birdforum Digiscoping Forum . I hope we may be able to see some of your pictures in the Gallery before too long.

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I look forward to hearing your news.
