Message: <blockquote data-quote="the black fox" data-source="post: 3192147" data-attributes="member: 94089">john as probably one of the few that have tried both lenses and used the sport in the field ,my appraisal last sunday of the C was that with the focus range set from 10mtrs to infinity which is the fastest focussing range there was absolutely nothing between them ,its lightning fast .   however i have to add this from my own experience again i use a 1d3 and a 70d and my lens focuses noticeably faster on the 1d  probably down to more power available from the larger battery .  not sure on the C  but certainly on the sport you can set the focus speed up for faster but less accuraccy yourself via the usb dock ,i have yet to play with that side of it</blockquote>
