Henry, I think we're talking the difference between theoretical and practical/real. Just because the objective is larger does not necessarily mean the eye piece design and other factors are going to allow maximum resolution. IMHO and others who have compared these two pieces with resolution charts have universally agreed. Again try this for yourself folks. I don't mean you have to go out and PURCHASE these pieces, but any quality dealer who carries these products should likely have a resolution chart up and typically a larger credible dealer will have samples as well. If not try at a local birdfair. I'd welcome the comparisons personally. Regarding the crack about PAYING to advertise, I'd suggest that EVERY single optics thread on this forum has posts by paid company reps offering their opinions under an assumed name/e-address. As such on all of these threads you have to immediately disregard all of the "extreme" opinions both negative and positive assuming most of these to be interlopers and look at the middle ground of the curve to find the public's true opinions. If you prefer I can get a fake e-mail adress and user name and come at you as just another happy user, but I prefer the high road and honesty more! For those offended my apologies, but I offer results that IMHO counter the implication that you can only get a quality image through a Swarovski scope. I didn't bad mouth the product and won't I just offer about 1600 examples of reasons why I disagree (images I've digiscoped in the field). Also, I believe that as many who are offended there are likely just as many interested in seeing some test results of the new products. Mine are the first I've noted online anywhere. Sincerly, "Fred Smith" ;) happy customer AKA Jeff Bouton Leica Sport Optics, USA
