New York City Summer Identification Qs

Hi all,

I have two shots, both of which are from Staten Island, NY in late August 2019. Does anyone have any ideas?

For the first one, unfortunately it's a poor angle, but maybe those undertail coverts might be distinct?

And I'm thinking the second is a wren species but I'm not certain at all.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!
Jeffrey
