Howdy from SE Alaska! I’m not so much a birder as I am an optics junkie. I spent my childhood and early adult days actually hunting ducks and geese in Kansas. But have since developed an appreciation for waterfowl and my old obsession towards hinting them has turned into a fascination with most waterfowl and being able to ID all the different species. I spent a lot of time at Cheyenne Bottoms Reservoirs during my college years. Seeing millions of birds each migrations season, oh how I miss those days.
