This was in the tall pine trees near the visitor centre on 30th May. I have a few more photos, but very similar to these.
Its singing didn't seem particularly melodious or sophisticated, but it was LOUD! Size wise it seemed maybe slightly bigger than a sparrow - definitely bigger than the warblers and small finches that were also around.
The only other species that I was thinking of was Great Reed Warbler, but that would have a white supercilium, which this doesn't have. The "bug-eyed" look was also quite noticeable.
