Inside Dimensions Dennis, Good to hear you found the post useful. Yes, the EDG II is great! Please post how the Zeiss case works out for you after you have had a chance to check it out. Arthur, I do not have a Zeiss 8X32 FL (but I am thinking it is smaller, or at least shorter than the EDG II 8X32) nor do I know what size notebook you have in mind, so I can not give you a definite answer. Hopefully knowing the approximate inside dimensions of the case will help you. I tried to be as accurate as possible, but that is hard to do with a cloth case. However, you should have at least that amount of room. The case is not very stiff, so there is some "fudge factor" as the case will fold around the binocular to some degree. Inside Dimensions: High (measured at the side high point): Approx 7 1/2 inches. Thick: Approx. 2 1/8 inches. Width: Approx. 5 3/4 inches. Here is another photo of the EDG II 8X32 with a notebook included. The notebook is 7 1/8 inches high, 5 7/16 inches wide (including the ring), 1/4 inch thick without the ring and 9/16 inches thick with the ring. The neck strap is attached and wrapped between the barrels and over the focus knob, making things a little thicker. It is a snug fit, but the case closes up just fine.
