I ALWAYS have a Sigma 1.4tc attached and cant see any difference without. Its heavy though if you arent used to a longish lens but you do get used to it. It will take a 2 x tc but i have never used one and im sure the pic quality would suffer as it would with 100% of other lenses. I have had loads of pics using the zoom feature where others have missed out. I wouldnt even swap for the Nikon 300 AFS as i really need that zoom. Its quick to focus using my D300.. Only negative point would be as with all Sigma lenses is the coating start to peel although i have a lens coat on mine so it shouldnt get any worse.</p></blockquote><p></p>
