Sorry for the poor photo. I was taking photo of the osprey coming out of the water. Noticed the ?? grebe after I got home. There were Pied-billed grebes on an adjacent pond but I didn't think this looked like one.

Looks like it's in an odd stance for one, perhaps preparing to take evasive action in case the Osprey comes too close.
