Well, I finally took the decision to purchase the NL10x52, which were delivered yesterday, and I’m VERY pleased with their performance!
I have set them up on my Berlebach Wall Tripod, which is an excellent stable platform, so I have zero issues with ‘shake’.
I have also used them handheld, using the Swarovski forehead rest, which certainly helps reduce any ‘shake’.
When comparing them against my NL8x32, the slight reduction in FOV isn’t really noticeable, and the clarity of view is the same between the pairs, though the 8x32 are still slightly more stable when handheld.
The slight increase in magnification is most noticeable when the binos are tripod mounted, and is certainly more apparent than when I demoed them a few months ago.
In summary, I’m very happy with the 10x52’s, as they are making my ships/marine activities viewings even more enjoyable.
My dilemma now is what to do with my NL8x32’s……do I keep them, or list them on the ‘for sale’ forum……..first world problems, I know!! 🤣👍
