Message: <blockquote data-quote="Gillian_M" data-source="post: 1389298" data-attributes="member: 45838"><p>That's an amazing story, Dave!  And I think you said more concisely what I was trying to say.  I use my camera to record what I see when I go out, and if what I see is a Barred Owl - a life bird! - perched in a tree in a dense woodland several yards from the road on private property, then I am happy to have a record of the sighting even if the photo isn't one of breathtaking beauty.  I do hope to find a Barred Owl out in the open someday, not only to get a better photo of it, but also to be able to get a good look at it and study it in the flesh.  To me, getting a good look at a bird is just as important as getting that good photo.</p></blockquote><p></p>
