No it flew over the sea wall, where you climb up if coming from the coast road lay-by, and landed on the large reed lined pool. Quite a way south of the dunes.

In case the Wryneck is still at Strumpshaw fen tomorrow (and I get out of work in time), can anyone tell me where exactly is 'opposite the rockland broad entrance' - I'm thinking I walk towards the bank of the river Yare and go left along the bank instead of right towards the Tower Hide?
Would appreciate any specific directions.

That is the Rockland Marsh side, the wryneck is at the opposite side of it - strumpshaw fen![]()
Well, no, it shows both the Rockland and Strumpshaw sides of the river. Hence the 'pump house' sign. Graham wanted to know where the entrance to Rockland broad was in relation to the river bank on the Strumpshaw side.
