Talking of Jackdaws, for anyone whose been to lakenheath in the last few weeks, you may recognise this cheeky chap !
Haha, what is the story behind this?

Does anyone know what this insect is? It looks like a small wasp, ca. 4mm long. The colours were amazingly bright.
It was in my garden yesterday.
A number of Red-veined Darters (at least 6) at Kelling Water Meadows. Feeding at the shallow water at the north side of the lake, about 30 yds past the gates. Also coming down onto the path.

I am used to seeing Mistle Thrushes in ones or twos but at Strumpshaw today I was pleased to find a flock of at least 15 in a paddock beside the Buckenham road (on the LH side just past the gate out of the reserve.) As usual there was also a small flock of mobile Linnets near Buckenham station.

That's good to know Pete. I have just been reading about them and I didn't realise that they form roaming flocks at this time of the year. Fine looking birds. The Mistle Thrushes were there yesterday evening aswell

About 3yrs ago there was a flock of over 50 in a field on the road to the fishermans carpark at Blickling
