Northern Italy or Tuscany for chance birds (1 Viewer)

I have a chance to head to Italy this coming May. The problem? I must choose between two itineraries:
1) Padua, Treviso / Prosecco, Bologna, Brenta Riviera, and possibly Venice.
2) Montecatini, Greve, Pisa / Lucca, Siena, and possibly Cinque Terre.

Birding will be a side note, however I would like to make the most of birding as I can.
If you were to decide strictly based on birds you might chance into, which would you choose?

Many thanks!

This would be one week actually in Italy.

I spent just over a week back in 2019 and picked up some 35 species. It was what I call a 'cattle tour'...you get herded into places and out of places, then there's the drive to the next stop. We were at a lot of places for a very brief time.
