Rescued during the rain tonight, managed a few shots before successfully releasing a (nfy) drum roll……Brick!

At a time when moths have been hard to find! Hurricane “Bert” placed only my 3rd moth (for the week) on the patio doors (West facing) last night, literally pinned to the door by wind and rain.
Retrieved with my tadpole net, and released out front in the dry.

More in hope than expectation I put the trap out last night and this morning there was a Winter Moth on the window frame in an awkward spot that enabled it to get away when I was trying to pot it: no such problem with the December Moth in the trap itself.

A single Light Brown Apple Moth was all that ventured near my trap (not in it!) overnight.

Funny enough, my best moths this year have been either in the parasol above the trap, or on the wall.😮

Not only that but this afternoon a Feathered Thorn came out of wherever it had been hiding and sat on the window!
