Hello? I created a new theme. I created a new theme in which I whipped off the photo of numenius of which I took picture 100 seconds prior to a that numemius...

It appears to be the same bird, the photo count no's on the standing bird are 4507,4510 and on the flying birds in this thread 4512,4513. The original flight shots start at 4516....
Hope the SBC guys are not on that flight to Ukraine!

That doesn't mean they're the same bird - I could go out now and take a photo of a bird, and the photo could be number 1. Tomorrow, I might go out and take a photo of a tree, and, provided I had photographed nothing in between, the photo would be number 2.

Brilliant Steve, never thought of that scenario;)

But this isn't a bird and a tree these are a series of pictures of a Curlew that appear to be taken in sequence and at the same time.

I think we can all agree that the bird in these pics is a Curlew, and looks to be a juvenile based on lack of moult etc. Whether or not it is the same as the bird in the other pics, taken less than 2 minutes later, and also depicting a juvenile Numenius, is hard to say for sure, though it does seem that way...
